EXT. ATHLETIC FIELD ACCESS -- DAY

A parking lot separates the road from a sweeping, lush soccer field and large track. A dozen men and women are running the track, worshipping the Malibu body god. Their sweat-sheened tans and stained lycra make you think you could use a good run too, even though the sun is out in full force.

Just below the soccer field/track complex, further down the mountainside, a quiet baseball diamond glistens under a network of sprinklers. A dozen of the biggest palm trees you have ever seen line the outfield. Behind the palm trees, the 180-degree view of the Pacific glistens brightly. You can see the Los Angeles skyline on the distant horizon, across the bay.

Finally, below the baseball field, you can see the huge, aqua-blue swimming pool. The grandstands from the 1994 Olympic water events still line the edges of the pool. Several girls are pacing themselves with slashing-fast laps while tapping water polo balls to each other at the same time. A coach stands above them, muscles straining his T-shirt, his face mean under his Ray-Bans.
