EXT. FOG -- DAY

The ocean air and ground tempature have created a huge bank of fog in front of you, silently cloaking the terrain and coastline ahead in an solid wall of smooth whiteness. Instinctively, you throw the Blackhawk into a swooping, turning dive, forcing your body up against the seat harness, and enter the fog bank at over 150 m.p.h. The fog slashes past the windshield like angry spirits. You feel the rocky ridge before you see it, and heel the Blackhawk around the solid ground below with a flurry of torn fog and scattered brush.

The helicopter in pursuit swerves violently, then pulls up sharply to avoid cratering the California topsoil. For several moments, it falls further behind.
